
April Fong is Deputy Editor, Personal Finance at The Globe and Mail. She is a graduate of the Poynter Institute’s Leadership Academy for Women in Media.
She was previously Executive Editor of The Logic, Senior Digital Producer of BNN Bloomberg, and also worked as a digital producer for the Financial Post.
April lived and worked in Shanghai as an editor at China Economic Review. She holds a Master of Arts in Chinese Politics and Diplomacy from Fudan University in Shanghai and a Bachelor of Journalism at Carleton University in Ottawa, where she taught business reporting as a contract instructor from 2021 to 2024.
As a Canadian with Hong Kong roots, she always has an eye on China and an appetite for dim sum.
